Shopping with Kids - Printable Shopping List
All parents know that shopping with kids can have it’s highs and lows, especially if your kids are young and you have more than one! We at Widdlykinks.com have a couple of ideas that work for us when shopping and we wanted to share them with you.
1. Be prepared – plan your shopping trip and know where you are going, how long you will be out and what you require to take with you.
2. Talk to the kids about where you are going.
3. Emergency supplies – a kids sneaky snack whether fruit, a drink or a small sweetie in your bag or pocket is always handy.
4. Involving the kids – ask the kids to help you pick the things that you require from the shelves. This helps to stop them wandering off and losing interest.
5. The shopping list – get the kids to write the shopping list (for younger kids they could draw pictures of what you need or just colour in the list you have written). We have a printable pdf shopping list template that you can print off for the kids. Kids love being involved and this will fill some time before shopping as well as during.
When all else fails stay calm - it is only shopping after all!!
